Dear parents
All our thoughts and hearts reach out to Asha, Sage, Oran and Todd as well as Nicole. May their path of recovery be short and successful.
After our last main lesson on geometry we started looking at ‘the many ways of writing’. Who do we write for? What is the purpose of our writing? What is the best way to ‘transport’ our thoughts? Is it a story, a letter or maybe even a poem?
In this context we are working on our play. This year the children of class 4 didn’t receive any lines to learn by heart. They all know the story of our play very well (no, we won’t tell, it’s a secret..), and now they have to put their own words to their roles! An exciting challenge.
As time is running towards Christmas make sure you have pencilled in all the important dates: 9.12.09 at 12.15 class 4 play; 16.12.09 presentations (time to be advised) and moving of the class room ; 17.12.09 Summer Festival at Boambee Creek.
We enjoyed a wonderful year in the beautiful class 4 building. Now it is time to make the space available for another lucky group of class 4 children and get ready to be the class 5 of our school soon!
In this moment of looking back and looking forward it never seizes to amaze me how the children have grown in this one year. They are all heading for the middle primary and are ready for that step.
I look forward to seeing you at our play performance, the presentation and/or at Boambee Creek for an end of year swim. The ones of you who I might not see before the holidays I wish a peaceful break, Merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
I look forward to seeing you all in the next year.
With warm regards
Elsbeth
