CLASS 5 NEWS
It has been an exciting few weeks with the class plays, finishing of the surfing program, circus performance and class work.
I wish to thank Sally, Todd and Lara for such a wonderful circus program ending in such a display of performing tricks, balances and gymnastics. The children thoroughly enjoyed it all and they can’t wait until next year. It was wonderful that Todd could be back for the performances.
I thoroughly enjoyed every class play; congratulations to the other classes and their teachers. I was so very proud of Class 5 with their Jetty Theatre performance of Stories of the Nile. They were truly phenomenal. At the end of the play, before they had finished their final bow they asked me if they could do it again! It shows how much they enjoyed it themselves. We were all thrilled that Sage was back and fit enough to be in the play. Thanks to Alexander, his amazing understudy! Special thanks to Nicky, Donna and Linda for their work behind the scenes and for all the parents who donated to the hamper, helped to sell raffle tickets or made food or served for the evening. It was a great fundraising success. We raised enough money to contribute towards the theatre and also extra for the snow camp next year.
We very sadly say goodbye to four families and five children from our class at the end of this year. It will be very difficult to lose such well loved class members from our wonderful class. We wish Connor, Braydon, Alexander, Sarah and Samahra and their families all the best in their new schools.
There are many people who have supported me throughout the year, my amazingly fabulous class carers, Nicky and Sue; Donna – who is always there for me; and all those who have helped with camps, excursions, volunteering, sewing, reading, attending class meetings and fundraising activities. I hope the class community can attend our presentation at 10.30am on Wednesday in our room where I can thank them in person. Also, a very very special thank you to Glenn and Brock, my very supportive home team who are always there for me.
A Christmas gift idea for Class 6 is a set of Derwent pencils so there is a greater colour range available for their terrific artwork in addition to the school Lyras.
Hope to see you at the Summer festival, please send in permission notes and let me know any alternative arrangements.
Merry Christmas and happy holidays,
Love Tracey
