After School Care

Our After School Care Service commenced in February 2003 in response to requests for a Steiner influenced service from parents who were not happy to use other services available in Coffs Harbour.

The service operates on all school days from 3.00pm to 6.00 pm.  A qualified carer is responsible for the children, providing food, activities and supervision during the afternoon. Care is available to all families enrolled in Casuarina School and all children of local Coffs Harbour schools. There is a daily limit of 15 children.

The rhythm is Steiner influenced. The children have healthy food provided to them, including fruit each day.  Special dietary needs are catered for.  Outdoor and indoor play is facilitated each day (depending on the weather).

The cost is $13 per session, and the service attracts childcare benefit for those families registered with the Family Assistance Office. (The level of rebate is based on the family’s income as assessed by Centrelink). After School Care is billed to the family’s fees account on a regular basis
